Sacred geometry is a complex system of structure, proportion, symbols, space, time and form making up the basic patterns of existence in their relationship to the universe. The basic belief is that geometry and mathematical ratios, harmonics and proportion are also found in music, light, cosmology and nature.
Geometrical archetypes reveal the nature of each form and its vibrational resonances. They are also symbolic of the underlying metaphysical principle of the inseparable relationship of the part to the Whole. It is this principle of Oneness underlying all geometry that permeates architecture of all form in its myriad diversity. This principle of interconnectedness, inseparability and union provides us with a continuous reminder of our Divine relationship to the Whole.
The square, circle and equilateral triangle and their derivatives are in harmony with this Whole, a Oneness with the Divine Spirit. The circle is the symbol of purity. Outside the circle exisits a perfect square. By diagonally bisecting the perfect square, four triangles are created.
